The Del Viko wines are the young wines of Torres Allegre. These are quality wines at a more a affordable price. They are easy to drink, fruit forward, fresh and very versatile wines. It is their friendly way of welcoming new palates to the world of wine, and also a treat that the most demanding palates can enjoy too.
Del Viko Tinto is made from: 20% Nebbiolo, 20% Zinfandel, 15% Tempranillo, 15% Grenache, 10% Cab. Sauvignon, 10% Syrah, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Merlot.
It shows aromas of strawberry, cherry, raspberry, with notes of honey, orange peel, and subtle scents cinnamon from the the fine woods. The palate is fruity with an unctuous persistence in the mouth balanced by the fruit with a soft rounded tannin finish.
Del Viko Tinto pairs harmoniously with Grilled seafood, pasta, pizza, roasted meat and poultry, as well as Mexican food like carnitas.
