From the winemaker:
Clean brilliant aromas of minerals, grapefruit and flowers are followed by zesty tangerine oil and more exotic floral aromas. On the palate the wine is fresh and weightless with a kiss of melon, rose petals, more intense grapefruit elements and a delicate red fruit finish.
Our Trousseau Gris has become a staple on some of the finest restaurant by the glass lists around the country. You should follow suit and make this your go-to wine for entertaining this summer. Kissed with the slightest bit of color from the pigmented skins, this is our first Trousseau Gris to have any discernable color to it. While this brilliant hue is undeniably intriguing to look at, the brief skin contact also gives the wine some interesting weight on the palate that is balanced by the fruit and bright fresh acid of the 2014 growing season.
